Is your idea worth it?
The picture: The windsock shows where the wind is really coming from, not where you'd like it to come from
What it's about
Before a pilot takes off, she looks at the windsock. It shows where the wind is really coming from. Compliments from friends aren't wind. Real wind is what people already do and pay for today to solve their problem. That's what you test your idea against before you put time and money into it.
What you'll learn
- What has to be true about your idea for it to carry you
- How to talk to people about their everyday life without selling your idea
- Why a “Great idea!” counts for less than a pre-order
- How to decide honestly: keep going, adjust or stop
How you go about it
- You write your idea down in one sentence and, with your AI, the assumptions behind it.
- You find a few people who have the problem and have short conversations about their everyday life. Your AI prepares the questions.
- Your AI helps you sort the answers: what's real wind, and what's just politeness?
- If there's wind, you collect a small piece of proof, for example a pre-order or a name on a waiting list.
- You decide and record everything in
docs/ideen-check.md.
The conversations themselves take a few days. The time above is the work with your AI.
Done when
- the file
docs/ideen-check.mdwith your assumptions, conversations and your decision is in your project.
How Albatros can tell it worked
- The file ~/projekt/docs/ideen-check.md is on your server.
