One walk round the plane before take-off

The picture: The pre-flight check on the real plane, with the flight recorder running

What it's about

Before every take-off, the pilot walks once round the plane and ticks off a fixed list, on the real plane, not in the manual. That's how you check your page before the flyers are printed. And the flight recorder, your statistics, is already running at take-off.

What you'll learn

  • to check the live offer rather than the code or your memory
  • what a blocker is and what can wait until after the start
  • why you can't measure your first visitors after the fact
  • how to see after every fix that it really works

How you go about it

  1. Go through the checklist on the real offer with your AI.
  2. Try out the form, the emails and, if there is one, the checkout yourself.
  3. Sort every finding: blocker, first days, first week or later.
  4. Fix the blockers and recheck each one on its own.
  5. Go through it all again a few days after the start.

Done when

  • docs/go-live-check.md with a summary and findings is in your project.
  • your page answers at https://yourname.aufwind.sh.

How Albatros can tell it worked

  • The file ~/projekt/docs/go-live-check.md is on your server.
  • The address https://{name}.aufwind.sh answers.

Tell your AI: “Check the mission geschaeft-06-go-live-check”. Skill: go-live-check.
