Do you show up in AI answers?
The picture: The information desk at the station names the place with the most precise notice
What it's about
These days, many people ask an AI before they buy something. The AI is like the information desk at the station: it names the place that answers the question most precisely and most up to date. Shouting doesn't help there. A clear, dated notice does.
What you'll learn
- which questions your customers ask an AI without knowing your name
- whether search robots are even allowed onto your page (the house rules
robots.txt) - how to measure honestly instead of guessing
- which page to make more precise first
How you go about it
- Collect 10 to 20 real customer questions with your AI, and then don't change them any more.
- Have it check whether search robots are allowed to read your page, and able to.
- Ask the questions in two or three AI services and record the answers.
- Look at who gets named instead of you, and why.
- Make one page more precise and measure again after a few weeks.
